Partners in Policymaking is currently taking applications for the 2008-2009 class.

 

Partners in Policymaking is an innovative leadership training opportunity designed to involve and empower people with developmental disabilities, parents of young children with disabilities and other family members. The Partners program is the most comprehensive educational program on disability issues  in Georgia.

Who Should apply:

People with developmental disabilities, and parents of  children with developmental disabilities, and family members are the primary target groups of the Partners program. We are looking for individuals who are seriously interested in developing their advocacy skills for the benefit of strengthening their families and being a part of local and statewide advocacy efforts.

Dynamic Therapy Associates Inc is proud to announce our summer and fall schedule for Vendor Days at our

Kennesaw office. Representatives from industry leaders in augmentative communication and assistive technology

will be available to demo the newest equipment and software and answer any questions you have concerning their

product line. Below is a list of our vendors that will be with us and a short list of the products and services they

offer:

gDynaVox is the worldfs leading provider of augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) solutions

for individuals with speech, language and learning challenges. Along with Mayer]Johnson, our sister

company and creators of Boardmaker, we help people of all ages and abilities make meaningful

connections with the world around them.h Our local representative for Dynavox, Ron Steinberg, will be on

hand at our office to answer any questions you may have about the Dynavox product line, or help with

any problem you may have with your equipment. Ron is a great augmentative communication/assistive

technology resource for our practice, so please plan to take advantage of this unique opportunity.

number of manufacturers of adaptive computer access, communication devices, and software for

education, communication, and recreation. As parents of children with special needs as well as

professionals in the field of Assistive Technology, our goal remains to help find the best solutions for

meeting individual needs.h Pat Satterfield and Will Stark will be joining us for 2 days a month] one AAC

The 13th District of the Georgia PTA and the Cherokee County Council of PTA's invite the public to a Cherokee County Board of Education Candidate Forum

When: July 8, 2008

Where: Woodstock High School auditorium. 2010 Towne Lake Hills South Drive in Woodstock. Enter the auditorium to the left of the school's main entrance.

Great opportunity  to hear where the candidates stand on issues important to our families.
