My name is Shannon, and both my father and sister have tested positive for
Huntington's. We found out about 6 years ago that my dad had the gene, and
shortly after that my sister had also inherited it. My father was moved into a
nursing home about 2 1/2 years ago, and though his struggles have recently
ended, I know the pain associated with the changes all too well. How old are you
and where are you from? I am 20 years old and reside in New Jersey. You'll find
that these websites really help. The people here are amazing, and I've made
great friendships from visiting. I am also a member of the hdlighthouse group,
and I highly recommend using both websites. My reason is that the more people
you have to run to, the less lonely you feel. Everyone is very supportive, and
knowing that there are others out there who have gone through the same thing you
