Tell Your Senator: "I'm really not a moron"   Message List

More than 5 long years into President Bush's short-sighted, cruel
policy restricting stem cell research, America once again has the
chance to reverse it -- and strike a blow for hope.

Several weeks ago, the House of Representatives passed a bill to
overturn President Bush's restrictions. The Senate is expected to
vote on this bill, Senate Bill 5, within days.

Although stem cell research has bipartisan support, "pro-death"
activists are working hard to torpedo this bill, and take hope away
from millions of Americans. Some Senators have even put up another
bill, S 30, called the "The Hope Offered through Principled,
Ethically-Sound Stem Cell Research Act." The problem is -- it
actually imposes additional restrictions on stem cell research. In
short, it's a crock. But some senators apparently think their
constituents are so stupid that they'll fall for a warm fuzzy title.
In short, they think you're a moron.

Senate Bill 5 is the real deal. Senate Bill 5 is the stem cell bill
supported by doctors, researchers, and patient advocates across the
nation. Please write your Senators today. Tell them to support Senate
Bill 5. And tell them -- you are not a moron.
