A Practical Guide to Managing Feeding and Swallowing Difficulties in HD
Well I'm pleased to report that after seeing my message, Robi Blumenstein of
High Q wrote me this morning to let me know that Andrea Fellner and Janos
Vecsernyes of Polaris Pictures made this video for the Huntington Society of
Canada several years ago. Shortly after the video was made Andrea and Janos
moved from Canada back to Budapest, Hungary to set up a film production company
which is where Robi met them. Later, when Robi got involved with Huntington's
Disease through the High Q Foundation, Andrea sent him a copy of this film.

Mynelly's is mperez@.... In your request subject line, please put:
Request For Video - A Practical Guide to Managing Feeding and Swallowing
Difficulties in HD and provide the mailing address the video is to be sent to.
HDSA will also be making this video available on their website, in view only
format, in the near future.
In my reply to Robi, I also thanked Andrea and Janos for their contributions
towards making this resource available to HD families and professionals who care
for them. For an educational film they managed to capture, in 10 short minutes,
not only the crucial elements of swallowing difficulties in HD and how one can
help that person, but they did so with sensitivity to maintaining the dignity of
the person with HD as well!
If you feel this educational video might be of help to a facility caring for
someone with HD, or help a family with a loved one beginning to experience
swallowing difficulties, please request a copy from HDSA.
My deepest appreciation goes the producers Andrea Fellner and Janos Vecsernyes,
Robi and HDSA for making this video available!
Jean
