this group continues to evolve.

everyone is welcome and whole-heartedly invited to join our little dysfunctional family.

previous, current knowledge, or ownership of OI is not required.

it's always better to be a freak, but even if not, you're still
welcome and urged to join us.

please no flaming, no bashing, childish-tantrum behavior
or disruptions to the threads with personal attacks such as
name-calling, extreme criticism of other members' personal
lifestyles, situations, etc.

individual messages will not be moderated, except in special
circumstances. anyone is subject to removal without warning
for disruptive posts, personal attacks. or other
generally childish behavior.

OI -- osteogenesis imperfecta -- provides many of us with a
unique and sometimes freak-show lifestyle. most strive to
overcome the limitations of this disorder and become actively
involved in life and society.

some of us are seen as punks, freaks. more than a few of us
once did, or still do lead a double-sided, side-show existence
and we enjoy it.

we choose to live with oi, and not fight it, even enjoy the
chance to live in norms different from those of modern-day
society.

we dare the ghosts and celebrate life with day-to-day survival
and ultimate success -- not necessarily considered in the
mainstream.

one goal for this group is to become a community of close and
distant friends, growing closer, all related, whether genetic,
artistic or cybernetic.

oitribe will always be sanctuary for the pariahs, the art-rats
of this world, those of us who are treated like geeks even by
other freaks, for whatever reasons. 

hopefully this will become a place for solace and peace, a group
where all members, regardless of personal beliefs, etc., will
be non-judgemental toward other members' personal lives, here
at least.
