Ed
I have had ocd most of my life up to a couple of years ago. There is help. I
got it and now my ocd is under control. Get help. I would recommend as a
minimum you see a therapist if you can. Any therapist will probably help some
and a therapist who knows about ocd will help more. Good Luck

Hi, my name is Ed. I have OCD but have not sought professional
advice. I am now 33, i have carried this for at least 25 years.
It started with the occasional flicking on and off of light
switches, now it has grown to washing hands continously, counting
things out a lot, numbers an timing are in my head constantly, bad
thoughts if the counting isnt correct etc etc etc. I know i need
help but am not sure where to turn. Am i going mad, is this common
in most OCD cases? Are there cures? Is it a mental illness, i get
mixed feedback from various websites.
Any help will do! Thanks, Ed.
