dear friends, brothers and sisters,

till this day, i still miss my mui mui, my most beloved white persian cat
with beautiful eyes who passed away on the 2nd of April 2004 due to kidney
failure. sometimes i feel depressed. sometimes i feel suicidal. sometimes i
feel life is meaningless. Like king solomon says "all is vanity".
mui mui is so innocent and pure. her gentle purrs would touch even the most
violent man...my father cried bitterly when she passed away. My mom had a
huge blow that she may never recover fully. And I was devastated to lose
her....:`(

She gave unconditional love to my family and me for the past 10 years. You
really got to see her personally and get to know her to see how humane she
is. Sometimes I wonder if she's an angel sent from God.....she would look at
you in the eyes and purr at you gently and lovingly. She would come to you
to show you that she loves you. She loves company.

She doesn't have to go in this way....

there are many unanswered questions about God and I just have to keep on
living my life. No other choice. Maybe God will explain to me one day why He
chose not to save her at that critical moment?

i miss her. her death probably change my life forever in some of my
thinking. i dun think i will be fully happy even if i have 1 billion
dollars. Money can never replace my love for her and her affection for me.

When I'm free, I will put her photos on the web for all to see how cute,
adorable and lovable she is.....she went too fast, too sudden, and too
soon....

Still Luving you, Mui Mui....
Arthur.

I think that the best way to fight social problems caused by OCD is
to just get out in society & confront the problems they cause, sure
it is distressing for a week or so at the time, but you will beat it
& feel good & give yourself a better life.

By the way, I have a good looking face.

Sean,

I have severe obsessive-compulsive disorder, severe depression & I
am psychotic. I am sure I suffer from greater mental illness that
you do.

Now it was Sonya & her friend who began impersonating because they
read how my psychotic illness & OCD make me think people are
persecuting me when they aren't & this has tormented me for years, &
they made several profiles where they said things about me that were
NOT true & they admitted they did it because they knew it made
caused me severe distress & they laughed about it & they just
controlled to do it more & more & they didn't stop until I made a
website about them & said things that caused THEM distress. I took
that site down long ago when Shelby admitted to take down the
profiles she made about me.

Now from what I have read about you on here, you seem to be the
dipshit, & it is you who is not mentally ill at all, but a big
mouthed coward.

You have a lot to think about, cause your personality is just
pathetic & you really are a sad case.

I am having trouble with somatic obsessions - thinking I am ugly and
my hair is bad and thinking no one wants to look at me or talk to me
because of it. I can't watch T.V. because I compare myself to the
people on T.V., and I check everyone I see on the street to see if
they are prettier or uglier than me. This is taking over my life. I
am a checker, and have gotten some relief with exposure and ritual
pervention on other obsessions. This thinking I am ugly is very
painful. I have tried meds, but not able to tolerate them. I got this
obsession when I quit the meds. Anyone else think they are soooooooo
ugly? I tried to watch T.V. two nights ago, for about a half hour,
and it was not a good experience. But I tried to expose myself to it.
I do better when I face my fears/obsessions, but this is overwhelming
me. There are many other things I can't do at this time, but this is
getting pretty long. Any help with the ugly obsession will be
appreciated. Just knowing someone else feels the same pain would
help.

Dear Sirs,

well, honestly i was in the Fall Semester 2004 in the BAU University and i was so kind and funny with my friends so they loved me alot and from one to one i had about nearly more than 80 person i know cuz our class was so wide and big i mean, like 120 person in one class .. so

after i left the university i've still connected with them by emails- phone calls and also going to the university to see & meet them every week or 2 weeks and stay long hours with them without any problems, but until last time everything change i went to the university from one month ago and i was so stress out and overwhelmed, so everyone can show these signs on my face and can say that i have a problem, but i said nothing happened and i am just okay, cuz whenever i go there shu 80 person says hi to me like a protest !! and they says my name : Ryan where have you been and we miss you alot and you are like "Idol Star" and you left us and where have you been and really we need you here and etc.. Still.... let me continue pls..?!

today and after 2 weeks of saying to myself Oh this week i will go ,and this week i will go to the university to see my friends and they are asking about me for example, today i have chatted with my friend and yesterday also with another 2 friends and they all said to me why u are not coming to see ya .. they really love me and i really love them .. but i am afraid from them i dunno why maybe cuz they are alot on one person (me) or maybe cuz i feel that i am famous in my x-university and thats makes me anxious & stress, so to conclude today i was going to see them at 11 Oclock, after i make up my mind about 2 hours then i said i will meet them at 1 oclock , but i back up and i don't wanna to go anymore anyday !! I am afraid

Second problem is that :

i have christain friends and i am afraid from them too

i am afraid to meet them or to go with them out eventhough we are friend from long time ago i dunno what is happening to me" i am muslim, but this is not the story"  !!  i am very open minded..

Third, my problem is with the time to going to gym : i am hating to go to gym cuz of the stress When ever i go to gym i feel overwhelmed and started to feel anxious and feel that my heart is starting to beat fast and have a hard cramp neck & back .. so yesterday i didn't go maybe today too even though i've registered from one week ago !! i am Confused - what I have to do right now - help over there plzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

I am so happy for you to have conquered your OCD! Well done!

I would be interested to hear how you managed it. I think we all just need to have faith in ourselves, but that can be hard to do sometimes. I once thought about having faith in a religion, but I'd really rather have faith in proven facts than an un proven fantasy...then again...if believing in a fantasy is the cure, the why not, as long as it doesn't make me insanely fantatical over a religion as that could be less productive in the long run.

Hi Howard, I agree with you totally. What I meant was that God must
have given us tools to totally illiminate OCD, fear, depression and
anxiety. For example, God gave us the gift of dicovering antibiotics
in order to illiminate life threatening infectious diseases. Most of
the time God's help comes through the work of human hands.

Hello everyone, I just had an idea. Who better to cure OCD and
anxiety than the people experiencing it? This is just a thought, but
what if we use this message board as a basis for our collective
experiences, and then in some way try to analyze the processes of
this vile illness and hopefully come up with some very interesting
and actually usable techniques that work. We as users could establish
a collective methodology of maintaining and utilizing our results. We
as a group would determine on how to pursue our research and place
definite guidelines to how it should be implemented. For example, we
are all committee members at a round table, and we all have a say on
how this research should be executed for the purpose of eliminating
OCD, illogical worrying and anxiety. I'm sure this idea will get
a lot of you thinking, and that's the point. We could possibly all
create something that is free and that actually works. We could all
start looking at our experiences objectively (become researchers) and
start gathering information that might eventually lead to a cure. We
could consider everything from NLP to perception, imagery to
aromatherapy. Obviously the help and research that is out there is
not doing a hell of a lot to help most of us. I believe that God gave
us the tools to cure ourselves, we just haven't found them yet or
don't know how to use them. Please let me know your thoughts,
opinions and ideas.

Hi Howard,

I can't wait to lay my hands on an AMD Athlon 64 5 Ghz processor! That will make games like Unreal Tournament 2005(a future game....) incredibly fast!

It will be a long wait........if i get one at the end of the year, it will be at most a 4 Ghz athlon....

They say that at 10Ghz, our computer has the processing power of a bumble bee.....gheez.........

And I read that our human brain is capable of 100 trillion operations per second. Still superior to the fastest supercomputer built so far.....So I don't see a 'human brain' desktop PC on my table for the next 10 years....

about my ideal PC setup,

I would have opted for a singapore starhub broadband maxonline 1500kps. But it should fit into the budget. So I'm currently on Singnet 256k broadband, albeit slow for a broadband, but still tolerable....

btw, which brand of digital camera do you like best?
I like canon, minolta and casio series. They are stylish.

Hey Arthur,

Yeah, that sounds like a great computer setup! Very nice and fast! I
would use Win2000 myself, but WinXP Pro  is fine. Also recent
versions of linux are nice too, if you wanted to dual-boot. Add a top
of the line digital camera, speakers, and high speed internet and you
would have a wonderful pc. Of course there are other things you could
add, great software programs and other hardware like external hard
drives for backup, etc.

Howard

Hello there,
I have not been here in awhile as I seemed to be doing a little better...or perhaps I had, again, fallen unconscious to the compulsions that are such a part of me now?

Either way, I have returned due to a sudden obssession with my health, again. I really hate this as the slightest pain, itch or discomfort in my body convinces me that I have a fatal illness and I end up, almost, frozen with terror, totally certain that I only have a few years to live - if that. Does anyone else get this & if so, is there anything that helps it? I don't want to give in to it because if I do I will be at the DR's office every other day and finally, they will label me as a hypochondriac. I need to get it sorted as, when it occurs, it really eats up a lot of my time as my mind becomes too preoccupied with it to do much else.

Best wishes,

*Mandy*

Ok, please take something into consideration. I am
starting to remember some things that I have
repressed. My life has been like a war, and in a
sense, i am havingflash backs. What is the best way
to deal with this?

Hi all,

Future Pentium 4's will also support 64 bit software, that's what I
read anyway. These new processors from Intel should be out later this
year or next year. I also have read that WinXP-64 Server has been
delayed until likely next year or very late this year. Currently,
only a few operating systems, Red Hat Linux (I believe) among other
Linux distributions fully support 64 bit applications and Operating
System's. Mainstream Windows users will have to wait until 2006 for
the next major version of Windows, currently code-named Longhorn.
Longhorn, I'm guessing, will support 64 bit apps, and have backward
compatibility with current 32 bit software, which is 99 plus percent
of today's software.

The Athlon 64 is made in a few versions, all of which are 100% 64 bit
capable, along with being fully backward compatible with todays
software. So you can run all of today's apps, and future 64 bit
software too, when it comes out. Also, the Athlon 64 are very, very
fast computers, but still somewhat expensive. There regular Athlon XP
is now their value CPU, so they are a good buy. Hope I didn't confuse
anyone with my tech babble! If anyone wants more advice or
information about computers, I'll be happy to reply, and I'll do my
best to keep it in plain English.

Basically, not everyone needs a top of the line PC, people doing just
normal stuff like email, internet browsing, word processing,
listening to music, basic spreadsheets or simple 2D drawing don't
need much power. They can get by with any recent PC, even inexpensive
ones. On the other hand, people doing a lot of video editing, Auto
CAD, running servers, making music and video's on their PC's, hard
core gaming, etc.,  need more powerful computers. It really depends
on your needs, and of course your budget.

Hope this helps,

Howard

The Pentium 4 currently supports 32-bit applications and games, while

ryan-i don't think you need to apoligize for that e-mail.  a lot of people in this group send e-mails with their beliefs in them.  one e-mail said "I love Jesus Christ, he is my Lord and Savior."  i don't agree with it but i am not going to find it offensive.  i am glad you are questioning mr. bush and 9/11.  as americans, that is our right.  be safe! ali

Ok dipshit, there are some things thatyou do not joke
aroud about with people who have compulsive
tendencies.

I think you should think about THAT.

If a person has comulsions to do things, and you make
them think about it, you are the one who is
responsible.

You sense of humor makes you deranged, and not ill.
One who is ill, is simply miserable. If your sense of
humor is that bad, you should THINK about being
serious.

Dear Paty,

I think you know there are two main chip making companies in America. One is Intel, which owns about 80-90% of the world's market for processors. The other is arch-rival AMD, which owns about 15-20%.

AMD came out with the "Athlon" 64, while Intel has the "Pentium 4". The Pentium 4 currently supports 32-bit applications and games, while the Athlon 64 can support both 32-bit and future 64-bit applications and games.

There will soon be 64-bit applications in half a year's or 1 years time. These are suppose to run faster on 64-bit processors. So AMD Athlon may be a better choice and investment.

The newest seems to be the AMD Athlon 64 3700+ speed or something like that. It is incredibly fast.

If you play high quality games, you may want to get 1 GIG RAM, lots of hard disk (the new SATA hard disk), and an ATI Radeon series graphics card.

I haven't touched it for ?? 10 years. Seems about right.

I don't consider myself an addictive personality, but this was a tough
one. Except for the first two weeks, I tried to stop for almost 5 years
before I finally did it. Everybody told me never to start smoking,
which was good advice, but didn't cover chewing tobacco. Bad move to
ever start.

btw, I'm allergic to cigarette smoke. My eyes puff up and my throat
closes when I'm exposed to it. Nasty stuff.

Nicotine is like that. I could usually make it a month without too
many problems and then I'd get a wild craving.

My last time, I went for 6 months and I was in very good physical
shape. When I tried it, I became violently ill. It pretty much cured me.

I still get a "longing" for it, but I know better then to ever try it
again.

I don't think this helped much, but I thought I'd share a little of my
own experience with it.
