Thanks for your reply.
Luvox seems to work OK with me at 75mg without much side-effects
thankfully but sometimes it doesn't work in times of stress and the
main problem is that when I adjust the dosage, sometimes temporarily
I get a horrible feeling of anxiety where I feel such deep
hopelessness. I heard recently that this is a side-effect that is
becoming more and more known. In fact, I just came back from the
USA where I had a panic attack due to changing my dosage and the USA
doctor said that Luvox was discontinued in the USA because of this
side-effect where some people were getting horrible thoughts of
hopelessness and feeling suicidal since they felt life was so
hopeless. But the side effect does go away thankfully. Luckily now
I am aware of this side-effect so I can be prepared for it next
time. It only seems to happen (I hope) if I adjust the dosage and
then it can take hours\days to go away. The doctor told me to take
Ativan to deal with the anxiety if that side-effect happens again.
I have taken Ativan before and it is good for allieviating anxiety
but I would not recommend taking it daily as it can be slightly
habit forming where you may have trouble getting off it - so I guess
it is better to take it only when needed.
Oh goodness - sometimes the cure is worse than the ailment! haha
Hopefully one day there will be a better medicine with less side-
effects for all of us here. Just want to have a good happy life
without OCD.
I still would like to hear more feedback about Celexa as it seems to
be more new than Luvox.
Thanks so much to you all.

> Hi. I've been on Luvox and am currently on Celexa, along with
Seroquel. For me, Luvox was Hell. I became suicidal and had bad
mood swings. I would go from being hyper and happy to just wanting
to die within the span of an hour. I would also get really mad over
little things. One night I got mad at my mom for an insignifigant
thing and ended up throwing things and screaming, which isn't like
me. My doctor took me off of it, but left me on Seroquel and put me
on 20 mg of Celexa. Now i'm on 30 and it is better. It's
definitely not as good as I want it to be, mainly because of my
depression that is the result of losing someone I care a lot about.
I have good days and bad days, but everyone does. Right now, I'm
fine as long as I'm busy or with my boyfriend, but it's bad when I'm
not doing anything and I start thinking about Brian, the person I
seem to have lost as a friend (long story). Anyway, I'm getting off
the subject. As you know, medication effectiveness does depend on
> the person taking the meds. For example, a friend of mine with
OCD, who is about the same size and age as me, has had a great
response to Luvox, but I didn't. Hope I helped some.
