Hello All,
My sister who is struggling with OCD went through a breakdown and was
hopitalized for some time as she was unable to function, no bath,
food intake very less, not using right hand. She has developed
secondary complications. The doctors and nurses lovingly took care of
her and she seems to be recovering and at least eating now.
As Barb says we have left things in the hands of Dear God. But all of
us give her unconditional love and support ALWAYS. The love of our
family keeps her going I think.
To jocdalone - i can feel for you, if your family is not
understanding it makes it much tougher and you have a precious baby.
Please be strong and dont let others get to you. You have so much to
live for - your sweet baby and remember you are special in your own
way. Keep the faith.
Pray for you and your baby that you get the happiness in your life.
I think the people in this group always rise to the occasion and have
a lot of compassion and large hearts. It feels good to share our pain
even though we dont know each other, we are all connected through OCD.
All in all OCD is one of the most mysterious and strange disorders in
the neurological disorders spectrum.
I was just reading and saw the baseball player Nomar Garciappara's
rituals before he bats. He does seem to have OCD but wont admit it.
Its amazing that he is able to reach such pinnacles inspite of the
OCD if he really does have OCD. DO youll think he has OCD?
