Hi Everybody!

I have not made it to a meeting in quite a while because I work in
Westlake Village every other Wednesday & Thursday.

Anyway, my GI that I really liked, Dr. Pantangco, moved to Northern
California. The GI that took over his practice had me start taking
Lialda with my 6mp for maintenance. I have previously tried every
5ASA drug (Asacol, Colazal & Lialda) and they all stopped working at
some point and my UC flared long term until I started taking 6mp in
6/07.

I'm finally off of the Prednisone and was doing fine with the 6mp by
itself until I started taking the Lialda with it. Does anybody else
that takes 6mp also have another maintenance drug for inflammation?
It just seemed kind of weird to me that I should start taking
another drug if everything seemed to be okay (sed rate, symptoms,
etc.) because of the immunomodulator. I stopped taking the Lialda
and I feel fine again after a few weeks of being off of it.

On another note, is anyone part of the Greater Newport Physicians
HMO? Do you have any suggestions on new GI doctors? It never hurts
to have a back up doctor I guess.
