Erica,
I think with all the bathroom trips, that the weight
loss sneaks up on you. It is quite common with
Crohn's (I am sure Matt will agree)and I think almost
all of us have experienced it. At the beginning of
Crohn's I weighed 145 lbs and after surgery I was down
to 113 lbs. Now I've gained back some weight to 125
lbs., but sometimes it goes down if I am going to the
bathroom alot. Matt or anyone, isn't their some sort
of powder you can put in a shake to help gain weight?
The best way to stop losing weight is to get the "Big
D" under control and then it takes awhile to get it
back, but you will.
Any suggestions anyone? For me, buttering food and
using olive oil works well but sometimes that adds to
the problem. Once the Crohn's is under control then
you can gain weight. What meds are you on again
Erica?
love, Casey
