Shannon,
I know of someone who cannot take Asacol at all -- makes him VERY nauseous, and once he stopped that med, he felt sooo much better. At first, his GI was very skeptical, but the cause/effect when he stopped was too coincidental to ignore.
Perhaps going back on the Asacol and seeing how you feel is a good test -- obviously let your doctor know if that's what you intend to do. It might be wise to also continue the Mesalamine enemas -- I doubt that those would be causing a problem.
Hope you get some relief soon!

been taking it for a month with no relief. And the very day I didnt
take the asocol I felt so much better. I guess I can just take it now
and see how I feel? I just dont want to go back to how I felt a few
days ago. I cannot function. We have 3 small children and it is so
hard to do it all when I feel so bad. What do you think?
PS. Thanks so much for responding!! I am so thankful to have found
this group. I have really felt so alone and lost in this whole UC mess.
