Hi Linda,
As long as there is a clause in Glen's policy for trauma or incurable illness, they should pay you a percentage of the total policy. We did this for Dennis's policy, all it took was one phone call to the insurance company and they should send you out the forms which your GP or Neurosurgeon can fill out. Our payout took only three weeks to process.
I did have to stress that Dennis's GBM was incurable as they will not pay out on all cancers!
Good luck, will keep our fingers crossed for you
Love
Heather

Subject: [nzbraintumour] some help
Can anyone help me navigate the mindfield that is the process of claming Glen's life insurance. I spoke to Glen's neurosugeon yesterday about it and although he is happy to fill in the necessary paperwork it sounds like it is a long drawn out process and it would be helpful if any of you have any thoughts on what I might expect, what your experiences have been.
Thanks
Linda
