Hi Elaine
We are not exactly in your situation - Lynda had a grade IV
astrocytoma (GBM) - but we also live in Wellington (Seatoun). The
treatment for AA III and GBM is different but both include radiotherapy.
Unfortunately the Headways support group at the Cancer Society
(Wellington division) is no longer meeting regularly but the staff
there are very familiar with brain tumour patients and they have an
excellent library resource. There were some members of the support
group who had AA III and the Cancer Society people may be able to put
you in touch.
Sounds like you are keeping very fit since your treatment, which is
great. Exercise is an important part of the healing process. I am sure
3 kids under 4 gives you plenty of exercise also! Feel free to email
us if you wish to make contact.
Chris and Lynda
