Yes it has been a bit quiet lately. Hopefully that is good news though.
We have had another couple of new members join recently which is great news,
Daves father John had his meningioma removed in July. Unfortunately he is back in hospital at the moment as he has contracted a MILD form of meningitis. All a bit scary but it is all under control. What appears to have happened is that when the tumour was removed a they needed to put quite a bit of packing in behind his sinus. Some of this hasn't "stuck" and he has been leaking fluid from the brain out of his nose. A "bug" of some sort has now travelled though the gap and infected the fluid around the brain. So he had a lumbar puncture (spinal tap) yesterday. Ouch !!
The result was that there were quite a few white blood cells present so they are trying to fight off something. He is is on IV antibiotics and they will grow a culture from some samples and then once they know what the "bug" is they can target it more directly. He will have another lumbar puncture on thursday. Double ouch !!
I am fine and the boys are brilliant. I will post some photos online soon.
love to all and it would be great o hear from others
Thinking of you all

In particular I have been thinking of Grant & Tracey.
Anyone know how they are doing?
Busy time here in the Scotson household.
Our son turned 11 & our daughter turned 6 last week.
can't beleive they were only 18mths & 6 1/2 when Bruce was diagnosed.
Bruce had an MRI 3 weeks ago. His Oncology appt is another 2 weeks
away until we get results.
As for me I have started counselling again through the Cancer Society.
Work is keeping me sane though.... for once :-)
take care
