Subject: [nzbraintumour] Acoustic Neuroma

Hi,

My partner Sarah was diagnosed with a Giant Acoustic Neuroma  tumour which was removed about 10 days ago.

She is now off most meds except for Codine and basic panadol.

At present she is still unable to sleep, gets about 2-3 hours per night and is displaying some major differences in personal behaviour. E.g. she seems to be very bipolar at the moment.

Just wondering if anyone can let me know if this is normal or  how long this takes to improve ?

Also could it be that swelling around the brain is effecting her?

This has all happened very fast, as she was diagnosed only 3 weeks ago. We have not been told much by the surgeons and its a little worrying to see Sarah acting so differently.

Regards,

Matt.
