I am a single mother of a 13 month old girl and a 3 month old boy.
Now that we are on our own I have realized that I have to get a good
job to be able to support us. I had always thought that I would be a
stay at home mom and take care of my kids until they went to school.
I have always been interested in nursing but I just thought that I
would wait a few more years to start school. But now that I am
starting earlier I am excited about going back to school. I know
excited about going back to school doesn't make much since.
I joined this group so that I could get support from other nurses and
student nurses. Also to get as much help and advice as possible.
Number one!! I would like as much information on financial aid
opportunities that everyone else has. Being a single mother has a lot
more financial responsibilities than just being a student does. I
will take any financial aid that I can get. Number 2!! The biggest
worry that I have about going to nursing school is the HESI A2 the
entrance exam. Any help studying for that would be greatly
appreciated too. I have to take it in March and that's the only real
worry that I have.
I don't know if I am asking for too much but I thought that I would
ask for as much advice as I can.
