The Frontier Nursing Service directs an internship called the Courier
Program for adults 18 years or older. Our Couriers have the
opportunity to observe everyday operations and to volunteer their time
with many projects that are essential to the success our organization.
You are able to shadow our nurse-midwives and/or family nurse
practitioners to observe direct patient care in a rural setting.
Couriers work on many projects within the community such as helping
construct a home for Habitat for Humanity or passing out food for the
Leslie County Food Pantry. They live at the historical headquarters of
FNS called Wendover for a 12-week term. For moe information please
