i am from cali...i know of 3 schools here for lvns, oh and by the
way i realized something...only california and texas use the
phrase "lvn," the rest use lpn. but back to what i was saying, yes
im from california and the school that i have chosen to go to is
called cni-career network institution. they are approved by the
board of vocational nursing and psychiatric techs, also they are
accredited byt the ABHES, and some other stuff...i have their
website, but it not a detailed one...here it it:
http://www.californianursingschool.com/ can someone go to it when
they have time and see if its good? i mean i know its up to me and
everything, but what do U guys think of it? oh and about it being
tough, i heard that too, but im not worried that much, because i
will be devoting all my time to this program. i just first want to
know about becoming a lvn, because i am not sure if this girl i was
talking to was trying to gross me out from the program or what, but
she told me that basically what lvns do are, they give old people
baths, clean poop/vomit off the floor and just dirty things like
that...i know that lvns have to do that sometimes if working with
older patients, but do the lvns only work with seniors? i thought we
could do pediatrics too and help the pediatricians... if anyone
knows more info pls post :)
thanks all!
