Hi,
I worked in a hospital as a Technical Colleague in Wisconsin. I
quit this job after my back was injured unable to find a different
postion within the organization. Job duties at the hopsital
included performing EKG's, inserting indwelling catheters, hanging
tube feedings, wed/dry bandaging, giving enemas, checking blood
sugar, re-setting IV's, and other simple nursing duties that did not
include passing medications. I received additional training at this
hospital in order to perform these duties. I don't know if this is
a level II CNA. Healthcare facilities where I am located have
different policies regarding CNA duties. Today I am working at a
long-term health care facility and am not allowed to reset an IV or
fix a tube feeding even though I know how.
