This is darn right aweful!!!! Who in their right mind would want to
beat up a resident! What is yalls thoughts on this story? I say
life in prison for these two individuals.

PINE BLUFF, Ark. --An elderly woman is NOT expected to live after
suffering a beating with brass knuckles in her nursing home bed.

That's the word from the woman's granddaughter. Two women are
charged with adult abuse in the case. But a prosecutor says he's
prepared to alter the charges if 81-year-old Willie Mae Ryan dies.
Nursing assistants 17-year-old Shermika Rainey and 44-year-old Gayla
Wilson are each charged with a felony count of adult abuse.

They work at Dallas County Nursing Home.

The pair were accused in Ryan's beating on July 30th. Authorities
say Ryan was beaten by a certified nurse's aide while another
employee held her on the bed. According to an affidavit, Wilson told
Rainey she was tired of the woman, quote, ``being disrespectful.''
