I'm assuming you are referring to the Ballard suction catheters (inline
suctioning)..... I've only ever used the pink NS bullets.

Saline is isotonic and should not effect the tissue, sterile water is hypotonic and if absorbed into the tissue would cause edema, IE when you sit in the tub...
