I worked in a Cardiac office as a Medical Assistant- prior to my completing my RN program.  We performed them with an RN and myself alone- we also did Thaliums the same way- the MD must be in the building but rarly were they in the room-
There was not a problem with us performing them

testing with a cardiologist in the room. The organization is trying to
adopt a policy (with strict guidelines) that will allow the stress
tests to be run by an ACLS qualified RN. I was curious if any of you
have any information about how this is done at your facility. Any
information would be greatly appreciated.

State of PA doesnt allow that, I do stress test daily, we also tried to look into that, The MD's blocked that so a Dr must be in the room, all about money,...
