Hello all,
When I started working in SICU back in Feburary, I posted message about
being scared to
death of my patient care abilities as well as issues with my preceptor driving
me crazy. As I'm
progressing in my new role as an ICU nurse out of orientation, I'd just like to
say thank you to
everyone who offered me support. I am starting to transition from task-oriented
new grad, to
being focused less on tasks and more on critical thinking aspects. I have begun
to really
investigate patient situations I have encountered by looking up what I've seen
in the clinical
setting. It is making a HUGE difference. I am starting to actually be confident
in my nursing
skills. I know that I will never know everything and that learning will never
end; I really feel
that my progress as an ICU RN is just starting.
Thanks again everyone.
