Please......Physicians don't have the market cornered on education. For him to
say that we lack knowledge because we educate each other is beyond
reprehensible. What gives him the right to say that? I hope that you stuck up
for your nursing colleagues. Certainly, a collaborative approach to knowledge
enhancement is warranted, not a one-sided "I know more than you know and don't
you forget it" attitude is uncalled for by any discipline.

point to the MD was, that while i understand his frustration with nurses who are
not passing on accurate information, he is ultimately the best resource as to
how he wants things done and his insistance that undereducated nurses "teach"
other nurses is a recipe for disaster. he has agreed to cover a variety of
topics related to his speciality and i've been assured that other MD's are
willing to follow suit. i don't want to approach these physicians devoid of
ideas.

Come on people this is suppose to be a source to help each other.
Especially you educators out there that are offering suggestion when you know
you have exactly what she needs on a disk some place.
Blonde over board. Tell me the topic and i will forward you the in-service
that i have on the topic. If more of us simply stopped stating the obvious and
truly helped each other out imagine how easy our jobs could be. Obviously i had
a bad day at the office!!!!
In this forum we have a huge opportunity to network and use each others
skills. Would love to see people simple give up there in-services that they put
together to help each other out. If anyone needs one on Swans i have it simple
email me and i would be happy to forward it to you.
Have lots of others that i put together as i am sure a lot of you do as well.
Please be part of the solution out here.
Thanks for letting me vent.
