Having problems with message search?
Hi everyone:
Sorry for the lack of updates, but I’ve been busy since I
got back from conference. I have to take
a break right now as I am sitting in my bed, in the dark, wondering what the
heck is going on. It is almost 4pm and
it is in the 80’s and nice and sunny out but we have no power…what is up with
that. OK
, nevermind, we have no power as
a semi took out a power pole down the street.
UGH. Not sure when we will get
power, but if you see my update, assume we have power!
Let me think back…at conference I was exposed to the H1N1
virus and was on TamiFlu for 10 days for that.
Both Brenda and I escaped that bug, thank goodness. Right now I am battling some major asthma attacks
from fireworks. I got put on oral
steroids along with an inhaled steroid.
It seems to be helping but do not quote me on that. I have an appointment to see Dr. Shell in 2
weeks, so we shall see what he says.
I have class 3 more times and this week and next week left
of my online class. My drugs and alcohol
class is going okay, stressed out with the end of the quarter papers and stuff
due. I can’t believe we are already on
week 4 and have one more week left of this quarter. My writing class is going okay, I guess. One of my papers got comments back as “It is
lovely!” Hmm, not a comment one would
expect from a writing assignment.
Next Thursday, Janis (Brenda’s mom) is flying out here to
have some fun with us. She is spending
the week here, so we plan to keep her busy and going shopping. I do start my business writing class in 2
weeks, but it is online so hopefully I will not have tons of homework from
that.
B4SMA has been extremely busy! Our SMA Friends from Brazil have found us
out. We have sent about 17 blankets to
Brazil already and have about 6 more to go.
Tomorrow, we hope to send out blanket 700 in over 5 years. It is sad that there are so many kids out
there and so many more that we haven’t reached.
Prayers for all of those that are under the weather and to
all my SMA friends who have had or having spinal fusion surgery this
summer. Sending big hugs to
everyone.

yesterday. Obviously, since I am updating, we have power again. I’ve been to
class and am guessing this pounding in the back of my head is what a hangover
feels like. But having no personal experience in that area, I’m going to bed…more
perhaps on Saturday!**
