I bought a new Toshiba laptop this weekend and I stumbled across something that really took me by a huge surprise.  The new Vista windows based operating system has a fantastic new speech recognition software. 

 

Even though I use a vent and the trach, the software worked pretty flawlessly.  I've tried Dragon Dictate several times and never was really impressed with its accuracy or pretty expensive price. 

 

I would encourage any of you to check out this big revolution in technology.  And by the way this message was typed with this program and it made very few mistakes.
