Chinese Milk Scandal Paradox

In 2008, Chinese dairies sickened 294,000 children
by adding melamine to milk which fooled government
agencies into believing that their milk had an
extremely high protein count.

The largest dairy (The Sanlu Group) declared bankruptcy
on Christmas day, noting that the scandal has resulted
in their $160 million debt.

Not to worry, though. Since China is a Communist nation,
and the government exists to protect the public welfare,
there will be an enormous government bailout of an
industry gone sour. After all...that is how
Communist nations conduct themselves, unlike Capitalist
nations where the strong survive based upon their
ability to honestly compete in a fair and open market
sans government subsudies.
