Re: [northpetloss] Bad news

What does the vet say, about his heart murmur?  I'm not a vet myself, but I do know that many animals live happily for many years with a heart murmur.  Some of them outgrow it completely.  My dog had one and she lived until the age of 13.

As to vet bill, I'm not sure where you are, but in Ontario there is a division of medicard, called Pet-card, that you can contact, and they will advance you a line of credit, or pay for vet bills, and you pay them back at a rate that's manageable for you.  You have to apply, but I'm at home right now and don't have the info in front of me.  I can provide you with the 1-800 number once I'm at work on Tuesday.  I know of people who have used this service and have been happy with it.

Sorry you're having so much trouble with Bernie -

Take Care-

Lynne
