The Pet Memorial Garden is a place to gather and find support, friends, understanding and resources to help you through the emotional turmoil of loosing a loved animal companion. Pet loss affects many of us. As well as pet guardians, Veterinarian clinic workers and many in the animal care field also grieve when a pet they have cared for, sometimes for many years, passes away. The Northumberland Pet Loss Support group, sponsored jointly by the Northumberland Humane Society in Port Hope, Midtown Animal Hospital in Cobourg, and Anicara Wellness Services in Orono, offers support to those who need it on an individual basis, along with access to helpful literature. There is no charge, but a free-will donation to the Northumberland Humane Soceity is very much appreciated. The on-line yahoo group you are now visiting serves as a quiet little place on the web to visit, remember, and, if we wish to, chat with each other.
Another purpose for this group - perhaps it's main purpose right now - is to provide an on-line place of memorial for you.
