RE: [noonan_support] Newbie and Desperate for Help

I am a mum of 5 kids and just the youngest has ns. He doesnt mainly gag, is a problem eater and failed to thrive. He has no heart problems we know of-poor muscle tone-low upper body strength-hyperflexible joints. He is also on gh as he is 103cm tall
He is 6(last saturday!!) and has been slow with most milestones-sitting walking talking etc...now he is brilliant. He was reading from around age 3 and has a talent for it as he can read upper and lower case-or handwriting. He has a very mature sense of humour for his age prefering MR BEAN or PETER KAY from a very young age(although spongebob is his fave right now!)

Anyway i digress..son number one now aged 27 gagged til around age 3-after eating-never found a solution and it just stopped. He still has a tendancy to gag if he smells something unpleasant or sees blood or vomit, and he is very masculine in other ways ;) just something makes his body that way.

Hope this helps?

kind regards,

Linda

Mum to Tom age 6 ns and 4 older kids(plus 2 grandchildren!!)

My son Kane is 9 months old and has about the same situation as you posted.  He is an absolute doll with so much character and personality.  He eats like a champ but occasionaly gags a bit.  He is in physical therapy for hypotonia and only is behind in his upper body strength.  I have a niece (non-noonans) who just had a very small espohagus that caused the same eating issues.  She got her adnoids out at about 7 and bam! all the problems were gone.

I am an information junkie and can find very little out there, any guidance would be appreciated.
