Hi Joanne,
My son is now 14yrs and we live in Scotland so the Ed law is a bit
different I think. Connor has always been in mainstream school with
an IEP.I do remember the fight I had on my hands to get what I wanted
for him. It would be good if you could have someone to advocate for
your son. Here we have Advocate centres which are run by volunteers
who have the knowledge of the childs rights to education, do they
have such centres where you live? You need to be strong and fight for
your son as our children are very mis-understood and they only have
us as parents to make things ok for them. Good Luck and I am here if
you need to talk.
