My son is tiny. I know people with Noonan's syndrome are small but he
is really tiny. He just turned three last month but is only wearing
clothes in the 12-18 month range (occasionally a 2T).
Will he ever catch up at all? He continues to grow steadily just VERY
slowly. The doctor has not been concerned with his growth since he was
less than a year old (actually before finding out the DX of Noonan's).
His ped just says as long as he continues to have an upward growth
curve then they will not worry.
I mean I know that he is not going to get to the 6'+ my husband is; but
I would really like for him to at least be taller than my 5'.
He is also pretty delayed developmentally. He seems to develop in
direct correlation to his size LOL. In the last two months he is
quickly gaining new skills and closing that gap.
Should I stop worrying? After all he is VERY healthy even with the
heart condition. The kid has had only a handful of colds in his life
and really nothing else (thank God!).
