My son had this condition but with both of his testicles.
He had surgery when he was 12 months old.
I understand about your nervousness regarding anesthesia,
you just need to address your concerns with the anesthesiaologist (sp)
before the surgery. Are you going to a children's hospital???
My son did well during surgery, it is a little scary when they start to come
out of it in the recovery room. He was uncomfortable for about 48 hours,
but then bounced right back. BTW, Ryan's surgery was done on an
outpatient basis, and we were home the same day.
