Haven't been on the net for a while, but here is an update on my son
Connor who has noonans. He will be 12 in a couple of weeks and he has
just started high school. He seems to be enjoying it though he says
that the work is very hard. The school was aware of all his special
needs and we are still trying to work them out.Connor uses a
laptop,sloping board,and a dictaphone.He has a locker so that he
doesn't have to carry all his books with him as this year he has had
joints in his knees and shoulder pop out, this causes him a great
deal of pain but we think it is due to his muscles being very low
tone.Connor is waiting to go for surgery to pin back his ears
though i don't know if he will go through with it or not we will
just have to wait and see.Connor wants to be one of the gang so he
is trying to join in and then he takes too much out of himself that
he has to spend time out at the medical room to recover.
On the whole he's a great wee guy,he has grown up a lot and i am
pleased to say that the behaviour has calmed down as well, things
seem to be sloting into place for him and with support i think he'll
do well.I hope to hear from you soon just to chat.
