Hi Debra,
JMML is juvenile myelomonocytic leukaemia. Children with either
noonan's or jmml are more predisposed to getting the other we've been
told.
If your son does have jmml for his age he would have to be one of the
10% of children where the leukaemia doesn't progress into acute and
just stays dormant.
White blood count can go high when an infection is present but for
peace of mind maybe ask your hospital to do full blood count.
If it is discovered he has jmml I don't think it would make much
difference to you or him because he's managed to get to 21 whereas
most children need there transplant by 2 yrs old.
