Re: [noonan_support] Independence and a new twist

Hi Maria,

Zack (25 mos) really wants to be independent too but he also needs the purees
and extra calories. One thing that we do with him is give him dipping sauces
for his crunchy stuff...sauces made with heavy cream, letting him dip pretzels
in pudding or yogurt or melted cheese, we even tried using a product called
Resource Benecalorie which is a high calorie supplement.

Hope this helps some.

Beth, mom to Zack (25mos NS, stable JMML) and Ethan (4 1/2 yrs)

How do you keep the dips from ending up everywhere? I was thinking a bowl with a suction cup bottom would be good (my 14 and 11 year old daughters had one) but...
