Hello Everyone. I know it has been a long time since I posted about the NOMID
Fundraiser
and several of you have tried to contact me. I am very sorry for this delayed
response. Our
recent trip to the NIH in October brought to light some new issues for me and I
have been
trying to deal with all of that and sort things out. Several of you know that I
have dealt
with mulitple fractures in my feet over this past year. I now have a fracture in
my spine
with a disc protruding and pressing on the spinal cord. At this point we are
still unsure of
how we are going to address this. I have an appointment with the Spine Institute
in
Louisville in December. Tomorrow, I go to find out if I may have yet more
fractures in my
feet. So... I think you can see where my distraction has been.

YES, we are still planning the fundraiser for possibly March or April. We
thought we would
wait until it is a little warmer. We thought the cold weather may affect the
crowd. We want
as many people as possible to attend. Thank you so much to those of you who have
contacted me. We would like for you to wait to ship the items until after the
holidays if
that is agreeable with everyone. If you need to send it before then we can work
something
out.

I would like everyone who is going to participate to go ahead and email me
directly to let
me know you are going to be part of the fundraiser. I would like you all to
email me at
earnhart@... . I would like to keep a list of everyone so please go
ahead and
send me that information as it becomes available to you. Even if you have
contacted me
before, please do that again. I just want to make sure I have not overlooked
anyone.

In regards to the shipping...The original plan is for one of our sponsors to pay
for the
shipping costs of the artwork dontaed by the children. Any other artwork will
need to be
covered by the participant. We hope this will be possible for everyone. We
appreciate so
much the participation of everyone and hope this will not be a burden on anyone.

When we were at the NIH, I spoke with Dr. Goldbach-Mansky about the upcoming
event
and she was very excited. She confirmed once again how necessary this effort is.
Thank
you again to Karen for all she has done and continues to do.

I hope everyone is looking forward to a wonderful holiday season. I look forward
to
hearing from all of you who are being so kind to participate in the wonderful
event in the
Spring. Keep making those contacts...we want as many people as possible to
participate.
There is much work to be done in spreading awareness and we need the funds to
make
