Hello everyone. I just wanted to make a few clarifications on some items
regarding the art
festival. In regards to shipping...the costs of shipping for the children's
art will be FREE.
As I mentioned before these costs will be covered by a generous donor. Any adult
pieces
that are submitted will need to be covered by the sender. I hope that this will
not
discourage anyone from participating, but I think you can understand our need to
do this.
Any art work submitted by adult participants can be shipped in "finished" form
if you want
to. By this I mean that you can frame the piece or present it in whatever way
you like. If
you simply want to leave it on a canvas with no frame that is fine too. We
needed to
establish some paramenters for the children's art due to shipping costs, but all
adults
should feel free to submit any size work they would like. We would like to have
some
larger pieces. A variety would be nice. Also please remind our donors that their
donation is
tax deductible and we will be getting them the appropriate documentation. If you
are
comfortable giving me addresses of your donors we would like to send them some
of our
"official" information about the festival. Please send this info as soon as
possible.
In reagards to the information that you put on the back of your child's artwork.
We had
orignially asked for their name, date, and location. We realize that not all of
you may be
comfortable putting your child's full name and location on the artwork and that
is
completely understandable. Feel free to just put their first name or even
initials and
location ( or no location). Whatever information you are comfortable providing
is fine.
I think that is the update for now. I am sure I will be posting new info.
periodically, so
please check the yahoo site when you can to keep up on the latest. If you could
also let me
know as you confirm what you will be submitting that would be great. We are
trying to
keep an updated list of what to expect. Please let me know if you have any
questions or
suggesstions. Thank you so much for your support of this
exciting project.
