33 PARKINSON Report • FALL 2006
Life, to me, is beautiful,
With all its ups and downs.
I never cease but wonder
How nature tends her grounds.
The colors of the flowers,
The changing of the leaves,
The sweetness of the honey
From the honey combs of bees.
I sit and watch as life goes on
For all who bless this day.
I wouldn't want to change a thing
Or have it any other way.
I'm far from perfect,
I have my faults indeed.
But I never said in all my days
Life, to me, is beautiful,
With all its ups and downs.
I never cease but wonder
How nature tends her grounds.
The colors of the flowers,
The changing of the leaves,
The sweetness of the honey
From the honey combs of bees.
I sit and watch as life goes on
For all who bless this day.
I wouldn't want to change a thing
Or have it any other way.
I'm far from perfect,
I have my faults indeed.
But I never said in all my days
Parkinson Disease, Why Me?
Parkinson Disease, Why Me?
It is difficult to express
How I feel each day
When explaining what I need to do
When the illness has its way.
I hold on with all the strength I have.
I won't give up the fight.
I keep my faith in God above
Who guides me with his light.
So, I say to those who share my plight
Don't give up. Don't despair.
But keep on going with help from those
Who have shown how much they care.
Never give in to those painful days
And keep your focus clear,
For there is a wonderful world out there
For all of us to share
