Woodstock Monument of Peace
As we approach the 40th anniversary of Woodstock I want to once again share my poem and the Woodstock spirit with you all. If you can't be in Bethel This weekend I hope you feel the spirit within you.

LOVE IS...
Love is...
Thinking of someone and caring,
Being with someone and sharing.
Love is...
Keeping close when times are sad,
Forgiving when things are really bad.
Love is...
Laughing and enjoying all the fun,
Smiling and feeling the rays of the sun.
Love is...
Crying and weeping about things that are dear,
Holding and hugging, going on without fear.
Love is...
Going to your favorite places,
Seeing each other with happy faces.
Love is...
Never walking around with a frown,
Or ever feeling to blue or down.
Love is...
Hearing what those near to you say,
Understanding rewards you in every way.
Love is...
Not letting yourselves grow far apart,
Staying friendly with all of your heart.
Love is...
Gathering around the garden of peace,
The Woodstock spirit will never cease.
Thinking of someone and caring,
Being with someone and sharing.
Love is...
Keeping close when times are sad,
Forgiving when things are really bad.
Love is...
Laughing and enjoying all the fun,
Smiling and feeling the rays of the sun.
Love is...
Crying and weeping about things that are dear,
Holding and hugging, going on without fear.
Love is...
Going to your favorite places,
Seeing each other with happy faces.
Love is...
Never walking around with a frown,
Or ever feeling to blue or down.
Love is...
Hearing what those near to you say,
Understanding rewards you in every way.
Love is...
Not letting yourselves grow far apart,
Staying friendly with all of your heart.
Love is...
Gathering around the garden of peace,
The Woodstock spirit will never cease.
