Hi "One-Heart Community Drum" Folks!, The Corning Community College event went superb, (with their largest turnout this year for any of their lunch hour music offerings!! Cool!) (...and they want us back again next year!) Also, great drumming at both other weekend events, (at the school and at White Hawk Village.) Thanks to all that attended! The weather should begin to allow us to be in Stewart Park (for the most part), from here on out, so let's plan on meeting there starting our drumming around 3P..M. for the month of May, (due to shorter daylight hours) and then at 4P.M. for the rest of the warm season. Steve's Note: This will be in lieu of our regular Saturday drum circle at Stewart Park. Directions: Take Rte 13 South, to junction Rte 34/96 South, bearing left onto 34/96. Go 4.5 miles to VanBusKirk Gulf Rd, turning right onto it. Go 1/4 mile to Tupper Rd, turning left onto Tupper Rd. Go approx 3 miles to the top of Tupper Hill, turning left onto Seeley Hill Rd. Go 1/3 mile to Beech Hill Rd, turning left onto it. Go approx 1 mile, passing Beech Rd on the left, approx 100 yeards past Beech Rd, is a 90 degree right hand curve in the road. At the beginning of this curve, a drive way goes off to the left-front, into Beech Hill Pond Community. Park either along the road, (not in the curve), or off the driveway into the community. A path to the left of the entrance of the driveway, leads to the pond and the picnic and drumming area, about 200 feet up the path. New Moon: Thursday, August 20th, 6:02A.M. EDT Saturday, Aug 22nd and Sunday Aug 23rd, (Times TBA.) Set-up of the drumming dome at MuseFest. Steve's Note: "One-Heart Community Drum" will be facilitating all night drum circles, Friday and Saturday nights, starting at dusk. We will need volunteer's to: collect and cut firewood, cut grass in the dome area, prepare the fire pit, shore-up the drumming dome, decorate it, prepare food, etc. If you want to volunteer, contact myself, or James/Tor.
