As most of you know I've been working on this event for over 2 months. It will all be worth it Sunday. Many have donated money and prizes to help show their love and support. I thank all of you for that. I thank all who are taking the stage to share their talents with us. Of course I thank you all for bringing the drumming community alive.
Remember, DRUMS from HEAVEN is a charitable drum circle. While we create beautiful percussion and dance, we are also raising money. In order to raise $$$ We are hoping you
support the raffles and auction within your means.
Let me brief you on some big things we have to raffle or auction.
For auction: A genuine Major League baseball in a glass case signed by future hall of famer and all time post season saves leader.... N.Y.Yankee...Mariano Rivera
Raffling: A N.Y. Yankee Official Jersey with 1923-2008 Yankee patch and All Star Game patch signed by #18 Johnny Damon, who is a Wounded Warrior Project supporter.
A Percussion basket containing Bongo's and so far 8 percussion accessories,
(If anyone wants to add a percussion toy to this, that's cool!)
We have aprox 20 items worth thousands of dollars to give to lucky winners who take some chances to win. (bring money...lol)
Also on hand a Masseuse, Dara , a helpful nurse, Laurie, Tie-dye Lynda, Wood-n-Drums for sale. Some Earth Day plants by my wife Donna. and hopefully Banjo will do a kinda Earth Day Expo outside.
If anyone can bring dessert that would help, I'm ordering fruit, veggies, & cheese platters.
Facilitators and friends I promise this will be your last invite to this celebration of Earth and love, drum and dance. PLEASE SPREAD THE WORD ONE LAST TIME! Thanks!
On April 20, 2008 DRUMS from HEAVEN will be doing a benefit for The Wounded Warrior Project.
This is a charity which helps returning war veterans with many basic needs, helping to restore respect and dignity.
Although many people are against war, many are also searching for a way to support the troops. This is your chance!
Some of these men and women have returned from Iraq and Afghanistan with severe wounds, missing limbs and emotional disorders. They are our Brothers and Sisters.
THEY NEED OUR HELP!
Since 2005, DRUMS from HEAVEN has been dedicated
in helping people in need.
This will be our 7'th benefit drum and dance gathering.
Many beautiful people will come together for this event.
You need no experience to come have a good time.
The drumming is both relaxing and energizing.
You may choose to interact with an assortment of percussionists and dancers, or you may just wish to sit back and visualize and listen to this awesome experience. Please come make this a memorable, successful event.
One thing is for sure... WE ALL HAVE FUN!
Please pass this on to anyone who may be interested, Thank you.
