Hello to all my friendly drummers, dancers, and listeners. I wanted to recap last Fridays
DRUMS from HEAVEN.
First I'd like to thank all of those who came out to support this important cause. Your presence was most appreciated.
We had a number of first timers who I think thoroughly enjoyed themselves. Always nice to turn on the newbies to our great experience.
All told attendance was lighter than usuall, probably because it started so early (6pm). We did have at least 40 show up for an auxilerating evening of drum and dance.
Sigi's bellydancing bedazzeled the crowd!
My sister Kathie gave an inspirational speech on breast cancer awareness and her own survival, which was well recieved.
We had a nice djembe drum which was raffled off and won by Dave and Lynda's daughter.
It was a pleasure to do this circle at Parisi's and turn on Mary ann and Gina to their first circle.
I want to thank them for the use of the club and their help organizing the event.
To conclude the night I was happy to debu my new song, Play Your Drums, Don't Fade Away.
It was alot of fun with everyone getting into it big time.
Our free will donations and the drum raffle brought in almost $600. All to be donated to the American Cancer Society to help their efforts in FINDING A CURE.
AGAIN, I WANT TO THANK ALL OF YOU WONDERFUL PEOPLE!
It is my hope you and those who could not make this one will keep the spirit of caring and sharing alive and come to the next DRUMS from HEAVEN.
Stay tuned for a possible November date.
