Hello family, friends, drummers, and dancers,
I’m sending out the call of the drum. It’s time to gather around for another rendition of DRUMS from HEAVEN. If you’ve experienced our drum circle you know how magical the vibe can be. If you’ve missed the last two I can only urge you to please come and add your own flavor to the mix. DRUMS from HEAVEN is not just a drum circle its an event!
We bring together people to create wondrous percussive sounds. Our mood is very cheerful an upbeat. As the rhythms flow the energy on the dance floor increases. The connection between the drummers and dancers
is electric. Come together with us and revitalize your mind, body and soul.
SIGI,The sensational Bellydancer will be joining us in the groove.
I want to start our Earth Day drum circle with the sounds of flute and didgeradoo with some opening poetry. If you have these please bring them and come early. Doors will open by 2:30. I also have an idea for a grand finale featuring Drums and Harmonicas doin that crazy HAND JIVE.....Soooo bring your harps! **** Just added**** A fabulous Harmonica player, Richy Harps will be joining us to add his blues vibe to our finale!
As in the past, we also gather to help generate some funds as a gift of giving. This time we are raising money for the St. Philip’s Youth Group so they can participate in World Youth Day. If you want to have a great time and help out a good cause, please join us as we celebrate Earth Day, on April 22’nd with a gala DRUMS from HEAVEN.
We would also like to raise money through raffles or perhaps a Chinese auction. We are seeking things to be donated. Gift certificates for services like massage, yoga, holistic healing, passes to a health club. Gift baskets...health foods, a planters basket, fruit basket, flower basket, music basket. Any ideas are welcome. If you are able to help with any of these or know someone who could donate something useful please contact me.
PLEASE LET ME KNOW if YOU CAN DONATE ANYTHING FOR PRIZES.
As part of our Earth Day theme, please share any poetry you can compose. We will also be making a collage of Earth Day art. Please use your imagination and bring something to add to the collage. Perhaps something showing the beauty of our planet Earth, a snapshot, magazine pictures ...
If you are a drum circle facilitator may I ask you to spread the word about this event to all your members. If anyone gets this memo who has little or no experience in drumming please feel welcome to join us.
A separate e-mail with a sample copy of a flyer is being circulated. Please feel free to forward this information over the net or by copying and passing out the flyers.
Thank you to everyone for anything you can do to make this a success.
Also to The St. Philip's Youth Group for helping to sponsor this event.
