Hear David Barsamian, director of Alternative Radio, at Town Hall next
Sunday! He will discuss two new books: "Targeting Iran" and "What We Say
Goes: Conversations on US Power in a Changing World."

"Targetting Iran" with David Barsamian
7:30 PM, Sunday October 28
Town Hall
1119 Eighth Ave (at Seneca Street)
Seattle, Washington
admission $5

David Barsamian is the director of Alternative Radio, a one hour weekly
radio event that broadcasts talks and interviews you would never hear in
the mainstream media. It airs on KUOW (94.9) Wednesdays at 8 pm.

We are delighted to welcome back one of the necessary voices of the
working media in this country, one who helps give voice and perspective
to/from others not otherwise included in mediated discoursed. David
Barsamian's radio programs and his numerous books are generally 'shared
stages,' conversations with others. This evening will be an opportunity to
hear and converse with him on a 'solo' basis (except it will be an evening
of dialogue). He is here with two timely new books, Targeting Iran (City
Lights) and What We Say Goes: Conversations on U.S. Power in a Changing
World (Metropolitan).

The latter is drawn from conversations with Noam Chomsky, and the former
includes Chomsky, along with Ervand Abrahamian and Nahid Mozaffari.
"Insightful, timely, and laced with rich historical perspective, Targeting Iran
presents a bracing exploration of Iran's current place in the world, and its
tangled relationship with the West. These fascinating interviews capture Iran's
complexity and illuminate the morning's headlines." - Azadeh Moaveni.

$5 tickets are available at Elliott Bay, by phone or in-person, and online via
Brown Paper Tickets (www.brownpapertickets.com, with a service charge added for
online) starting October 6. Town Hall Seattle is located at 1119 Eighth Avenue
(entry on Seneca Street).

For more information on this evening, please call Elliott Bay at (206)
624-6600. For more information on David Barsamian's schedule and
Alternative Radio, which broadcasts locally on several stations, please
