The Public Health Response Coordinator is a senior position managing a
small, dedicated team to implement our emergency response in
Timor-Leste, particularly supporting people displaced after the events
of April-May 2006. The PHRC is responsible for the public health
component of our response which involves ensuring the delivery of water,
sanitation and hygiene services to camps, monitoring impact and building
the capacity of national staff and coordinating water and sanitation
activities in Dili. You will have:
* a high level of program management experience in emergency response
* experience managing and implementing public health programs in an
emergency context
* ability to integrate gender throughout program activities
* experience managing teams of international and national staff in
complex, difficult and, at times, stressful environment
* experience in financial and budget management
* working knowledge of Tetum or Bahasa Indonesian (highly desirable)
Four month contract for commencement early February. Salary A$56,110 per
annum plus benefits.
