QUALIFICATIONS:



1. A Masters Degree in Public Health.

2. At least five years of work experience in leadership positions in
developing countries in the primary health care sector.

3. Familiarity with health care programs in the developing world, USAID
contract procedures, and a working knowledge of the private, nonprofit
sector.

4. A demonstrated track record of increasing administrative, program
planning and supervisory responsibility.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Provide technical and administrative backstopping and supervision to
MIHV international projects.

2. Design and implement appropriate project monitoring and evaluation
tools.

3. Research and develop new project strategies and feasibility studies.


4. Recruit, select, orient and place international project staff.

5. Provide direct supervision to MIHV's Country Directors.

6. Participate on the MIHV Program Committee.

7. Stay current with the literature pertaining to child survival and
monitoring and evaluation through participation in the CORE Working Groups,
CSTS, and other relevant agencies.

8. Complete regular field site assessments and program assessment
visits.

9. Pursue and coordinate research opportunities for MIHV international
projects.

10. Assist the Executive Director in identifying potential donors and
sources of funding for MIHV international projects.

11. Ensure MIHV compliance with all donor-reporting requirements.





ACCOUNTABILITY: The International Program Director reports to the MIHV
Executive Director.
