A free concert, SING FOR PEACE, to aid war-injured Iraqi children, will be
held on Sunday, October 16th from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Seattle First Baptist
church, 1111 Harvard Ave. (at Seneca and Harvard).
Help bring two children severely injured when US bombs struck their homes
in Fallujah and West Baghdad to the U.S. for medical care while you enjoy
a concert featuring six local choral groups.
Funds raised at the concert go to NO MORE VICTIMS, an all volunteer
organization that brings severely injured Iraqi children to the US for
medical care. More information about NO MORE VICTIMS is available at:
www.nomorevictims.org.
Participating choirs include the Seattle Raging Grannies, the Children
Sing for Peace Chorus, the Intergenerational Peace Choir, the Seattle
Labor Chorus, the Seattle Peace Chorus and the Total Experience Gospel
Choir. To date, endorsers include the United Nations Association, the
Interfaith Network of Concern for the People of Iraq (INOC) and the
Fellowship of Reconciliation (FOR).
A silent vigil on to end the war will be held on Broadway after the
concert.
