Subject: United Nations Association of Seattle: Invitation to forum
series

Greetings to UNA of Seattle members and friends,

World Peace Through Law Section of the Washington State Bar Association
invites us all to attend a monthly series of forums on world peace
through
law.

Regards,

Joan Lawson & Dick Blakney, Co-presidents
===========================================

All meetings are free & open to the public, at WSBA
2101 4th Ave Ste 400, Seattle - 4th Monday of the
month - noon-1pm.

Our intention is to systematically cover the field of
international & human rights law, with a series of
expert speakers relating the dry text of law to a hot
topic of the day.

For June 28, Professor Slye of SU/Law has kindly
consented to speak on the relationship between our
Constitution & international law, with the particular
practical problem of the well-known criminal events in
Iraq.

For July 26, Attorney Luis Arriage of the Center for
Indigenous Rights in Chiapas Mexico is scheduled to
talk about relations between peoples and their
nations.

I hope that among the side-benefits of this series may
be fruitful networking & information sharing between
our communities.

Sincerely

Randy E Winn
Chair, WSBA World Peace Through Law Section
